Are our School’s ready to teach cryptocurrencies?
Cryptocurrencies like bitcoin continues to divide its adherent and detractor, a never-ending battle, however it looks like the craze for cryptocurrencies like bitcoins has shifted from corporate world to classrooms as block-chain courses are now available at universities and high schools around the globe, but the question is- are our school’s ready for this change?
Many elite universities like university of California along with New York, Pennsylvania, and Stanford universities are now offering courses on digital currencies.
Interest and demand from younger students has also prompted some high schools to start offering educational sessions on digital currencies like bitcoin.
New jersey teacher Timothy Breza told CNN earlier this year crypto is now on his business and personal Finance course for 16 to 18 years old’s. He said “If one student’s talking about it, many of them are talking about it. So I figured we needed to include it.”
“The UK has also caught on with Cambridge University announcing in 2016 it would be the first university to incorporate blockchain as part of its Master’s in Finance degree.”
